See ya on the flip side!!

I saw a guy walking up the road wearing a backpack and carrying two garbage bags.  Around here, that is usually a sign that someone was kicked out.  I grabbed my camera with the zoom lens and took this picture from my couch (through the window) to see what I could see.  It just happened to be a guy who always carries around his backpack and in those two garbage bags were returnable cans.

The next picture I had to sneak and get was of a different type of bird that was feeding outside.  Again, I grabbed my camera with the zoom lens, snuck around the dining room table and, through the window, got the picture I wanted.  Ken and I looked up on the internet what kind of bird it is… a downy woodpecker.  You can’t tell from this angle but it has a red patch on the back of it’s head which indicates it is a male.

Not bad considering there were both taken through the window!!

Today I came home from lunch and saw those cranes in the field by my house. I rushed inside to grab my camera, and wouldn’t you know it, the dogs just could not wait for their lunchtime potty break. I scrambled, getting the dogs outside and back in without either of them seeing the cranes (they would have scared them off) then grabbed my camera and walked to the edge of the yard. I was amazed they were still out there! No sooner had I aimed the camera for a shot, they decided to take flight!

I was happy to be able to get at least a few shots before they left.  One of these days I will get one of them flying overhead!

I wandered around the yard and noticed the buds are coming out on our trees!  Woo hoo… trees that finally didn’t die over the winter!!

I am loving the lens hood I got for my camera!  It make quite a difference with the colors.

It is her fault FaceBook is blocked from the office computers. Every opportunity she had, she would spend as much time on it as she could. Examples of her FaceBook addiction… every single time I would get up from my desk (even for a minute) she would scramble for my desk, plop herself in my chair and get on there.  Also, every single time my boss would be gone she would plop herself at her desk and get on there. Once the other so-called boss caught her playing FarmVille and said, “What are you doing?” Her reply… “Nothing. Wanna see my farm?” What a dingy!!  Naturally he said no but never made mention that she should actually be working. Not long after that myself and another girl in the office blocked the site from the computers because she wasn’t doing any work. She is not bright enough to figure that out how easy it is to unblock the site.

Her latest addiction… a game she has installed on her cell phone. She is constantly on her cell phone, either texting or playing that game, and just this week she was caught playing the game just minutes before court started (when I wasn’t there) and they had to tell her to get in the court room. From what I hear, our boss caught wind of it and said something to the effect that pretty soon she will not allow cell phones in the office. I will be very, very, very unhappy if that happens!! Not that I spend a much time on my cell phone at work but it’s just the point that she is ruining things for everybody.

For the most part I am thankful she is working there when I am not at work. I get along with her well enough and even sometimes socialize with her outside of work but, I’m just sayin’, these incidents sure make me glad that her job ends in June.
