Jeanne's Thoughtful Spot

This week has been jammed packed with exciting things happening.

Monday – The new lens I ordered for my camera came in!  Haven’t had much of a chance to play with it yet but I can’t wait.  I’m glad I ordered it when I did because the price went up $19!

Tuesday – Ken and Rachel went to ITT Tech in Green Bay so Rachel could take a tour.  They were impressed and Rachel ended up enrolling!  She starts classes on March 15th.  Wow, that is real soon but I’m glad she finally decided to go back to school.

Wednesday A.M. – Each day this week I was entering a contest online from a local news station to try and win tickets for Packers Fan Fest.  I almost forgot this morning because I overslept and entered 3 minutes before the deadline… and just for the heck of it, I also entered to win tickets to the All-Star Rodeo Challenge and Green Bay Gamblers game.  As I was putting on my jacket to head off to work, I heard them announce the winner for Fan Fest… it wasn’t me.  And then the winner of the Gamblers game… it wasn’t me.  Finally the last name was chosen for the rodeo… holy crap, they said my name!!  I was bummed I didn’t win the Fan Fest tickets but it is cool I won 4 tickets to the rodeo!

Wednesday P.M. – Ken went to see his foot doctor and was given the all clear to stop wearing his boot!  His doctor told he was healing very well and he should now start wearing his shoes without inserts (he has been wearing inserts for years).  Ken is almost walking normally now but says it feels so strange not having inserts in his shoes.  ALSO,  we got a new stove.  Finally a new stove!!  It is so nice to have all four burners that will light on their own!  (None of them on the old stove did.)  The next best thing about having a new stove is that the casino let us win enough $$ to buy it!  They have been so nice to us this year considering they basically paid for our stove, t.v., washer and dryer and Ken’s computer.  I’m still waiting on that treadmill though. 

Friday – Rachel went back to Green Bay to take care of paperwork and financial aid stuff.  Everything went really well and she found out 8 of her classes from Bay College will transfer!  She needs to go back on Monday to see if she can test out of math.
